When their lease at Aberlour expired in 1839 the brothers John and James Grant moved down the road to Rothes and built a new distillery (originally named Drumbain), the first distillery in this village. from the outset it was described as 'one of the most extensive distilleries in the north'.
This bright, golden single malt Scotch Whisky is aged in Ex-Bourbon and Spanish Sherry oak Cask.
Nose - Orchard fruits, with fresh apple and orange citrus. some honey as well
Palate - Vanilla and caramel, rich with apple notes and barley or malty flavour
Finish - Almond nutty, with some lingering spice
