When their lease at Aberlour expired in 1839 the brothers John and James Grant moved down the road to Rothes and built a new distillery (originally named Drumbain), the first distillery in this village. from the outset it was described as 'one of the most extensive distilleries in the north'.
Matured in the highest quality hand-selected Ex-Bourbon cask and remade hogshead casks which deliver a vibrant golden colour and rich floral and malty aromas.
Nose - Light fruity notes, cracker and a bit of cider spice and crisp
Palate - Fruit and honey, almond and bit of spice sometime buttery toffee
Finish - Medium finish, sweet and nutty finish and some spice as well
