The name Macallan is derived from Gaelic word 'magh', which means 'a fertile land', and 'Ellan' thathonors St. Fillan', a monk who spread Christianity in Scotland during the 18thcentury. Founded in 1824 in the heart of Speyside, The Macallan was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to be legally licensed.
Nosing - Thick aroma with dried apricot and raisin, followed by tasty oak and butterscotch
Palate - classic Macallan mouth-feel, kinda like orange peel and ginger
Finish - more ginger and a drizzle of honey and some satisfy vanilla and raisin.
