The name Macallan is derived from Gaelic word 'magh', which means 'a fertile land', and 'Ellan' thathonors St. Fillan', a monk who spread Christianity in Scotland during the 18thcentury. Founded in 1824 in the heart of Speyside, The Macallan was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to be legally licensed.
Nose - Rich, thick sherry note, fruity sweet and some toffee. more citrus after a few smell
Palate - it's soft at the same time rich in flavour, hints of spice, mature oaky and orange peels
Finish - lingering with dried fruit, a lovely long finishing. remind me of coffee beans
